Bagheera-S™ is a flexible framework that can be used in a variety of situations outside continuous monitoring.  Some of the potential uses are illustrated in the diagram below. At the same time, new uses can be discovered with time as Bagheera-S™ is used by more and more people within the organisation.  The important thing to note here is that the additional uses will be adding further value, both in monetary terms and intangible benefits.

Let's elaborate briefly on two of the additional applications for Bagheera-S™ shown below:

• Business Intelligence - because of the nature of its activities Bagheera-S™ contains a full, "clean" set of data from the system(s) being monitoring.  Furthermore, it's not a front-end system and its operation does not affect external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers.  This allows various types of information to be extracted without impacting the everyday operations of the organisation. For example, the performance degradation associated with creating management report summaries may be prohibitive in an on-line, customer-facing system but no such problem exists for Bagheera-S™;

• Change Management - in times of upgrading or replacing a system, installing new releases, introducing new functionality, etc. Bagheera-S™ can be a very effective checking mechanism.  Using Bagheera-S™ as part of  such a project will shorten significantly the testing and deployment times for the new changes.
